The CMCP801 Probe Holder is designed for the external mounting of Proximity (Eddy) Probes as described and recommended by API-670. External (through the case) mounting allows for the easy removal, inspection, and adjustment of the Proximity Probe as opposed to internal mounting where the bearing cap or cover needs to be removed prior to inspection.The CMCP801 Probe Holder has an adjustment range of plus or minus 1" (2.54 cm), 2" (5.08 cm) overall. The CMCP801 can be cut in the field or by a local machine shop to the required insertion depth. Additional insertion depth by using longer Proximity Probes.

STI Vibration Monitoring offers the CMCP4190 for probe installations where the shaft is only a short distance from the bearing housing. The probe adapter is a 1/2" or 3/4" NPT threaded on either end for mounting to the housing, and a conduit head. The ID thread is available to fit the 2 common eddy probe thread sizes. For particularly long probes an optional deep conduit head is available. The CMCP4190 is made of 316 Stainless Steel.

Mounting Brackets are used when installing eddy probes (proximity probes) internally in the machine. They may be mounted directly to the side of radial bearings using two (2) 1/4"-28 Cap Screws. The brackets are 1/2" High x 1" Wide x 1" Deep (12.7 x 25.4 x 25.4 mm). The eddy probe mounting hole is offset 3/4" or 1/4" (19.05 or 6.35 mm) depending on the mounting direction of the block relative to the bearing. Tightening the mounting bolts applies a positive lock to the eddy probe preventing movement of the probe after mounting. These mounting blocks are available for 1/4"-28 UNF, 3/8"-24 UNF probe body threads. Since these mounting blocks are manufactured from Aluminum, they may be easily machined in the field as required during installation.

The CMCP803 Explosion Proof Conduit Head is designed to be used with the CMCP4190 Eddy probe Adapter and is available in both 1/2" and 3/4" NPT versions. It is furnished with a 2" Dome lid with "O" ring seal. The CMCP803 is suitable for Class I, Div. 1 and 2, if installed in compliance with NEC 501-4(a)(b) and for Class II, Div. 1 and 2, if in compliance with NEC, 502-4(a)(b).
Not supplied with CMCP4190 Probe Adapter or Eddy Probe as in picture.
