The CMCP271 Series Indexable Counter Bores are used just like the less expensive spot reamer to mill a 1" (2.54 cm) smooth flat area on a bearing housing to mount an accelerometer. Their major advantage is that the have replaceable (indexable) Titanium Nitride cutting edge inserts. These inserts are triangular with three cutting edges per insert. Each cutting surface is very durable allowing greater machining capability over the less expensive spot reamer. Each kit comes complete with counter-bore, 10 ea. inserts, pilot, insert screw and insert key and are available for 1/4"-28 and M8 threaded sensors.
